Niklas Åhden is Team Leader of the IT Operations at ISEC Group. The team runs the Secura Cloud Platform for both their internal operations team as well as their external clients. In this quick chat we talk about how to integrate to Daymi and the different use cases they’ve added.
What was the first integration?
- The most important job is to make sure that the prices are imported and validated before ISEC Operations Team can calculate the Net Asset Value (NAV) of the more than 100 funds under administration.
The fund operation team now have a single workflow tool where they can follow the progress of the automated tasks and be informed when it’s time for their part of the process.
- If there’s an error, we get notified by the built-in alarm system in Daymi and can act on it. By having both manual and automated processes visible in a unified workflow, where both IT and fund operations can keep track of the progress in real time, makes the job and collaboration much more efficient and secure.
How was it to integrate?
- The process to integrate was easy, within a couple of hours we had our first integrations up and running.
An IT Operation Team is not the most common Daymi users, so we wanted to know more about what they use Daymi for, even before the API was in place.
What kind of processes do you have in Daymi?
- We have controls that we must perform and sign-off on at recurring intervals. Everything from daily data imports and exports to monthly integrity checks, licenses, and user access controls. Many of these controls are a part of our ISAE3402 license.
- It’s just easy to use Daymi, instead of having to keep track of all these recurring controls and task manually, it just pop-up in my workflow. No more spreadsheets and manual signatures! Now, with the API, we can monitor all scheduled jobs and that will save us a lot of valuable time. Instead of going through every system manually, we can now have full control and see the status in a single platform.
Combining manual and automated tasks
With Daymi’s open-API, ISEC’s operations lowers the risk and increases the automation, and the IT operations can now easily monitor all processes and get notified if something fails.
As Financial Services operations continue to be more automated, it’s important for us to create new features that allows our clients to combine and streamline their entire process workflow, both manual and automated. That is why it’s great to see that our clients, such as ISEC Group, keeps pushing the development together with us and bring operational efficiency to a new level.
